The 8373 IP Zone Paging Adapter provides zone control for existing legacy infrastructure in VoIP environments. The 8373 has a dry page output that directly connects to a legacy amplifier, eliminating the need for a legacy zone controller. The zone paging adapter ensures that the speaker zones behind the legacy amplifier is retained in an IP system. The 8373 has three separate high-powered relays used to switch the output signal of a single amplifier for up to three different groups of speakers, referred to as zones or channels. The zone control relays are activated when either a SIP extension is called, a multicast IP address is received, or a telephone DTMF keypad is input. For large environments, multiple 8373 adapters can be used to support as many page zones as required with a deployment of one 8373 per three-zone amplifier. The 8373 easily integrates into an IP telephone system.
